If I could rate this school an lower I would in a heartbeat. Let's start with the IT program. My girl had to take a online class, which happens sometimes. If the school expects a student to successfully take online classes they need to make it so that the computers don't block the portal between the class and submitting homework. We notify the IT program time and time again and they did nothing and which made my girlfriend fail the online programs, and that lies under the school's fault, because they failed to set up my girlfriend for success, but instead set her up for failure. My girlfriend was in that school day in and day out, coming in early, staying late, in order to make sure she understood the things that she was being taught. This brings me into the next thing about the school. I graduated from high school with a much larger higher student-to-teacher ratio. And this school has a much lower student to teacher ratio. The school that I graduated from every student had a one-to-one basis and educational opportunity with the teacher, and this school even with a lower student to teacher ratio failed at assisting and making sure that the students including her got the proper help needed to successfully pass. This school in my eyes and her mother's eyes as well set her up for failure. They did nothing to help her and left her struggling even when she way begging for help. With the schools failure to provide her with the proper materials, help, and education, she was unable to walk with her graduating class. Thanks to the school's failure of providing the proper assistance to a struggling student that put forth every ounce of hard work that she had didn't get the great opportunity to walk.
I attended the Middleton School district from K-12, and 10 years later, could not have asked for a better experience. I was set up for success in my classes, I was treated fairly and challenged by my teachers. I felt safe, and empowered every single day. Our extra-curricular activities were fun and helped me develop lifelong friendships. I had opportunities to not only be prepared for my academic future with advanced English, Biology and Mathematics courses, but I was prepared for my future as a human being by being taught how to treat others and how to treat myself.I was given opportunities to perform, to compete, to learn, to find myself.nnThis school helped shape my future in ways I didn't even know at the time I was attending. And now, as a student pursuing secondary education, I would consider it a privilege to one day teach at this great school that shaped and set my life up for success.
Truly impressed with this high school. My daughter has attended schools in Texas and in Wisconsin and locally in Eagle. She has had a wonderful experience. Not only with the staff but with the students as well. Our experience as parents has been just as wonderful. My wife and I are equally evolved in her academic and athletic education. The entire staff have always shown a genuine interest in our daughter as well as all the students we have met. Of course not all kids or parents are going to be happy. You can never please 100% of the people 100% of the time. Please don't allow the over all low star value to fool you, considering only 3 people have taken the time to comment. We have no reservations giving MHS a 5 star rating.
Most of the faculty and staff here are strong ableist. If you have a child with any disability, DO NOT send them here. Even if your child has an IEP there will be a conflict at every turn. This school is truly a disgrace to Americans with Disabilities.
This school is a joke
