Wait staff was great. I have been many times to this restaurant and had great food. Might have just been that it was early Sunday evening but all of the steaks at our table were overcooked. Even so, I would recommend the Pioneer to others.

Very classy and nice atmosphere. Had to wait for about 20 minutes, get there as early as you can. We arrived 15 minutes after it opened and it already had a wait. We went to order just appetizers (the famous Jim Spud) and our waitress seemed a little taken aback. Great food though.

Best baked potato I've ever had! Melted in my mouth. Still 5 star but would have been even better with cream style corn over it.

I don’t eat meat (which is 95% of the menu), but I have so many good memories of this place. Great big baked potatoes (and lots of meat). Good drinks. This is an excellent place to go for a nice dinner after a long day in the mountains or on the river.

Nice place with friendly service. The wait for a table was an hour, and we arrived somewhat before the dinner rush. Obviously the dinner rush starts a lot earlier here! We were lucky enough to see two open seats at the bar and did not have to wait. The food was definitely pricey, but that is more a commentary on Ketchum as a whole. This town is not cheap! I ordered the prime rib and it was excellent.nAnother reviewer left a negative review because of the noise, drunk customers and overcrowding. This was also our experience, but the overcrowding is the reason I didn’t give them 5 stars. If someone there had COVID, it was surely spread to everyone else in the small space. The noise and drunk people are to be expected. It is a saloon after all!
