TUNDRA Restaurant

Tundra was amazing. Food was phenomenal. I ordered their Prawn pasta. I also ordered a bottle of wine they had on special, delicious. For desert we shared their Carrot Cake which also was delicious. The service was top notch. Multiple times we were asked how things were by management. They truly seem to care. Thank you for a wonderful experience for an out of town guest.

This is a special restaurant in the making. We didn’t know this when we made reservations but hearing that it was relatively new (two years) we asked several locals about their experiences. We received great reviews.nI’m summary, the service, food and experience exceeded our expectations by far.nThe menu is excellent, wine list unique and reasonably priced and the setting perfect for any occasion.nThe calamari was amazing and when we thought that dinner couldn’t be better the trout simply blew us away. As for dessert, well, it was a perfect ending to a superb evening.nWe can’t wait until we return. It’s warm and casual and so it poses little threat to a fine dining experience but it may just be one of the top restaurants in the entire Sun Valley area. Relatively small, go now before it becomes difficult to obtain a reservation. It is that good.

Where the patrons are judged... not the menu. Rolled into this establishment just having freshly landed into Hailey. The restaurants downtown are close from the airport and we were hungry. After stepping into ‘Tundra’, we were met by the owner Joel, who suggested that we dine elsewhere. He took one look at us and said, “If you don’t like what’s on the menu I can suggest some other great places to eat.” That was the worst sales pitch I have ever heard in my life... especially coming from the owner. Clearly a couple of flannel-wearing old school skaters were not the type of clientele he was seeking to entertain that evening and we were judged immediately. We sized him up and decided the clown wasn’t worth the effort nor did we want to patronize his prissy establishment, so we took his advice and left, I suggest you do the same.

Absolutely Fabulous. WIfe had the trout, first time she ordered trout and loved every bite. I had the steak, cook perfect. All out veggies were perfectly cooked. Serving size was just right. Wine selection was though the roof. Attention to detail was second to none. Servers were so attentive but not overbearing. Establishment was clean and bright. 1st time visitors to areas and so glad we picked Tundra to enjoy our Anniversary dinner. Scored points tonight with my selection. Thank you for a wonderful meal and nice atmosphere. Suggestion, pick the bread, put some salt and pepper on your plate and rub the bread into salt and pepper, taste like a pretzel from New York City.
