Went here over the weekend and the kids definitely loved it. Dressing rooms, showers, and bathrooms were all clean and so was around the pool. I would have given five starts except my only concern was that there was only one lifeguard on duty for about 300 people. I watched a little girl struggle with swimming and thank goodness there was a quick acting teenage boy who helped swim her to the side of the pool. Also, another girl almost hit the diving board with her face. We all gasped and we thankful she missed it by centimeters. They definitely need more lifeguards on duty than just one, especially for the amount of people that were there. But, besides that it was a great experience.nnThere were two lifeguards on but one sat in the break room while the other one was on the floor. And then they switched and the other one went into the break room while the other one walked around the pool. There were not two actually working at the same time.
This place is SO much fun!! My friend and I went here this past summer, and we had a blast. The speed slides are some of the craziest water slides that I’ve ever ridden. It always sketches me out by the fact that the queue line is OVER THE FREAKING ROAD!! Both of the slides are extremely fast, and the yellow one actually gives a bit of airtime. The curly slides are pretty great too, but they will scratch your back up a little bit. The kids slides are great if you have little ones that are too small to ride the big slides. The diving platforms are insane as well. So far, I’ve only jumped off of the first one, which is about 16 feet above the water. It was a true freefall sensation for me. Both times that I’ve been there, somebody has gotten injured by jumping off the top platform, which is some 33 feet above the pool. They have had to be carried out of the pool on a stretcher, and everybody had to be evacuated from the pool. But overall, this is one fun place. If you’re in Lava Hot Springs for the actual hot springs, make sure to slip in to the water park for some extra good fun.
We went here. There was definitely no lava. So if that’s keeping you away, you can rest assured that lava flows will not harm you or your children.nnWe went in winter and it was hot, humid, and wet. Just like an indoor pool should be. So that is good.nnApparently we weren’t the only ones who made the trek up that Saturday afternoon, so it did kind of feel like we were all hotdogs hanging out in one of those warm water tanks those street vendors in New York.nnIt it was fun. The kids loved it.
I have been going here since I was a child! Love visiting when I can, I live on the east coast now, so it’s not as frequent as I would like. My wife loves being here, my kids likes it even more! Super cool vibes, crazy fun! I have been at many pools like this around the USA, this is my favorite in the country!
The outdoor pool was closed they're getting ready to open it soon after winter. However the indoor pool and kiddie pool and jacuzzi was really nice. We got there when it just opened up and there was a huge crowd. Send out after an hour and it was really an enjoyable time for the family we will be back.
