Taos Plaza

We loved wandering around here. Great shops and so much beautiful artwork. I fell in love with some little statues but alas my wallet said no. Lots of fun people watching and quite a few benches around to soak up the sun between shops. This is a great area with something for every price range. We parked our truck camper at the park. Plenty of room for larger vehicles.

Beautiful place to exist. Feels like being in Latin America. There are many art galleries around and places to eat. You could definitely spend some time here wandering around. There are side streets that have (potentially) even more strange shops. Definitely take a quick stop if you are in the area

I love visiting Taos. Walking around the plaza is fun as is visiting the shops, art galleries, and restaurants around it. Visited this time to learn status of restaurants in case we visit in the near future with friends. Taos is rather quiet this time of the year (February 2021). Just so you know there is a mask mandate in Taos including outside areas.

Due to covid, a number of stores were closed. The stores and Plaza could use a facelift. Many of the stores sold trinkets. However, if you look deeply into the stores, you can find some treasures. I found a beautiful teal green cape which was made in Ecuador. Also, the Gorge restaurant was upscale with great food and friendly service.
