This was a super amazing experience!!! Loved the look out points. Beautiful views!! Loved the cave dwellings and you could climb the ladder and go into the caves. Little bit of a hike up to the caves but totally worth it!!! If you love nature and history you will not be disappointed with this Park!
Really great day trip to get a few hours hike in nature and get up close and personal with prehistoric settlements. Really puts life in perspective. As a bonus, the cafe at the visitor center makes the best espresso I've had outside of Europe.
Amazing! It was an awesome experience, and really cool to experience a small part of the old lifestyle. The trails and paths were all very clean and well-maintained, and the public restrooms weren't too bad. My personal favorite was the Alcove, where your rewarded with a stunning view of the cliffside after a short burst of steep ladders and steps. Lots of mule deer too!
This is that review that I should have written 4.5 months ago. I drove from Denver to Bandelier the week before Thanksgiving with my new teardrop trailer, 2020, got to the park at night and drove around the park like a halfwit until, exhausted, I finally pulled over on a driveway that clearly wasn’t meant for me. The absolutely nicest park ranger I’ve ever met in my life found me and rather than berate me for parking near a clearly marked “Authorized Personnel” sign, kindly lied to me that everyone misses that Juniper sign, had me follow him down the road and to the large and clearly made sign, then looked at the campground kiosk with me and suggested the best site for me and my camper. So, kudos to you, Mr. Ranger. You were the nicest guy of my entire trip. Also, the campground and bathrooms were so clean. The bathrooms use passive solar and are always warm with nice big stalls and good sinks. I really loved me stay there and look forward to coming back.
Super beautiful park. Lots to explore. The cave dwellings are a must see and inventive. The drive into the park is beautiful and even more stunning when you start to move. Unique history in the area, highly suggested on a place to visit if you are in the area
