Vietnam Veterans Memorial

A beautiful memorial out by the mountains. It felt peaceful and serene. They have a small museum, gift shop and a chapel. Visitors are welcomed into the chapel. Even with snow on some paths they try to keep most of the walk ways clear. Visitors should visit whenever in Angel Fire or Taos. It's not difficult to find, expect when snowing.

Well worth the detour. It’s a little off the beaten path, didn’t know what to expect. Was pleasantly surprised with this beautiful museum and chapel and the haunting story behind it.

Such an unusual find: a Vietnam War memorial in such a remote place. Still, I had a good time checking this place out and reading the plaques. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area and like seeing historical things. They do have an old Huey helicopter on display, which was neat.
