Philmont Scout Ranch Airstrip

I did philmont in 2000. If you love the outdoors it is definitely worth doing. For those going or thinking about going make sure you do not buy cheap gear. The treks are several weeks long and in very rough country. If your not a person that is physically active on a daily basis make sure you start walking several months in advance. Do several weekend back pack trips before you leave, this will not only get you in shape, but also teach you what you need and don't need in the back country.
