A great train depot station in Claremont! I would usually get out here from the train, when I had a lot of time between classes, to spend time in downtown of Claremont, a town which I really like. The depot is quite clean, and I can say that in this depot, I feel safe waiting for the train, even in evenings. They have CCTV cameras. There are two lines, one is going to San Bernardino, the other is going to downtown of Los Angeles.

Historical plaque inscription:nThe Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad and its subsidiary, the Pacific Land Improvement Company, founded the town of Claremont in 1887. The railroad's original wooden, Gothic depot was replaced by this Spanish Colonial Revival structure in 1927. Designed by Santa Fe architect William H. Mohr, the exterior of the passenger waiting room features concrete churrigueresque trim and the doors are carved with Santa Fe's distinctive cross and circle logo of the 1920's. The depot was closed in 1967 and remained vacant until it was purchased by the City of Claremont in 1989 and adapted to serve as a transit center in 1992. THIS BUILDING WAS LISTED ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES IN 1982.

A nice depot station, located in downtown Claremont. The architecture is quite beautiful, the place itself is quite clean, and I felt safe in this area, while waiting for the train. Of course, from this station, passengers can go to Los Angeles Union Station or downtown of San Bernardino. In addition, this station is near many eateries and Claremont Colleges.

It's Claremont!... Such a cute downtown area. Perfect for date night. The college is right there too. Oh and don't forget Rhino Records!!!! Yeah. Nice place.
