Elevation Studio

I’ve been practicing yoga for a couple years now and have had the opportunity to take different styles of classes in other countries and different states in the US. I can easily say Danielle Duffy is the most amazing teacher. Her knowledge and love of yoga shines through her in each and every one of her classes. Whether you are seeking a gentle yin practice or fiery fusion class, there’s something for everyone at Elevation Studio on Block Island. If you happen to make it to Block Island, taking a class at this studio is a must. I highly recommend it! ♥ufe0f

Elevation Studio is an absolutely wonderful yoga oasis on Block Island!! Our family has been visiting the island for several years now and we’ve heard about this studio (which has apparently been around since 2005!) many times, but never made it down for practice.. On our last trip we had the opportunity to drop in on a class lead by the owner Danielle.. What a lovely experience!! Their new location is so sweet, nestled in the back corner of an organic farm, surrounded by all sorts of exotic animals.. Having never visited their previous location, I have nothing to compare it to, but the newly constructed building that the studio occupies is clean, organized and has a very relaxed vibe.. The French doors open out to a rear garden where you can watch the animals wandering about while you practice.. The mixture of local yogis and visiting tourists created a nice opportunity for social exchanges.. There were no yoga elitists there, at least on the day we visited!! And Danielle was just an absolute pleasure to practice with.. Her knowledge and sensibility exude a subtle power that made us feel like we were in great hands.. She lead us through a sequence that was literally exactly what we needed (hard to do in a room full of people at various levels of skill!).. She was warm, humorous and graceful before, during and after class.. My wife and I had a great and informative conversation about yoga practice, love, life and Costa Rica (one of our favorite subjects!).. If you’re visiting Block Island and you want to get on a mat, it is absolutely worth making the time to visit Elevation Studio!! It will most likely be just what you need!!

It really proves how wonderful Elevation Studio is when a non-morning person sets her alarm, wakes up early, and attends multiple morning classes while on vacation.

I love taking their classes!! All of the instructors are so nice! They just moved to their new location and it looks amazing!
