The food was very good. I got the Southern fried chicken with turnip greens and mac and cheese. The chicken thigh and leg were juicy. The breast was a bit dry. I have never tried turnip greens and was pleasantly surprised. They were yummy. The mac and cheese was cold but had a good (not great) flavor. My daughter had the chicken fried steak. She loved it. My husband had the sampler. Large portions and he enjoyed everything.nThe kitchen was moving slow it was as to be expected with not many eager employees lately.nWe love the general store. High quality items at decent prices.nAll in all a good experience .
I don't care much for they're food. Seems like cafeteria food.
Cracker Barrel's are all pretty much the same, but a server like Brenda is rare! The perfect amount of interaction without over doing it. Always a step ahead of your needs, and my ultimate pet peeve she avoidsmm.. She is fantastic about asking before pouring fresh coffee and ruining a perfectly sweetened cup you finally got just right!nI always make sure she is there before we drive there....
We Love the food here. I love the option of breakfast all day and my hubby likes dinner so we go late in the day. I also love the store. Beautiful items at great prices. Love sitting in front of the fire.
Fries had no seasoning not even salt. Order specifications weren't followed. Food was dripping with sauce and grease and no napkins were given (except for 1 around silverware). Not that many people there due to Covid spacing, yet food took much longer than other restaurants I've been to lately. Will not be back.
