Brought my kids here as we were waiting for my wife to get out of a doctors appointment. None of the dogs were on leashes and one of them charged at my kids from over 50 feet away barking aggressively and i had to kick it away while the owner chased it around to keep it away from my kids. Who were following me walking quietly out of the trail by the field which is all crab grass. They are lucky it didn't bite one of my kids because it would have been the last thing that dog ever did.
Beautiful place to walk amd let the dogs run
Very sunny. But it's a nice place for a picnic if it isn't too hot. No tree coverage though. Nice place to get your kayak into the water. And great amount of picnic tables.
4 stars for clientele not the park itself. Clear signage that dogs most be on leash and waste removal is required by law. Two separate people allowed their dogs to charge and bark at us while we were trying to enjoy the trail. Dogs were chasing wildlife, waste was everywhere along the trail. Citizens need to be made responsible for their dogs. This is NOT an open dog park.
I've been bitten here merely walking by myself, the owner of the dog scoffed at me and made some snotty remark when I asked why their dog wasnt leashed..nnBig sign that says leash law strictly enforced, but the elitist townies naturally think rules dont apply to them, so their dogs run free.. I get asked why my dog is leashed during every encounter with other dogs.
