You can breath a different air in Utah. You will know the minute the train gets there by just feeling a diffent vibe of the area.

Was here for the 3.30am departure of the California Zephyr to Chicago. That the train was several hours late wasn't the fault of this station and its employees in particular, but it's not a very nice place to stay for a few hours. In fact, this station is a shame for Amtrak; their great train services and SLC deserve a better station than this shack the size of two international shipping containers.

Online the amtrak was supposed to leave at 11 with ~10 minute delay. We call to see when the train will be leaving and we get a estimate of 6:10 am so my mom gets the travel insurance on top of the ticket price and was supposed to get a text update. Right now it is 5:14 am and the train had just left. No text update no anything luckily we got the travel insurance but they did not send a text update to even give us a chance to get there. Must be another "covid" thing that makes people not communicate or do their jobs.

Good connection from Frontrunner to blueline trax and buses.
