Mount Prospect Park

Clean and small park between the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and The Main Brooklyn Library. There's a cute children's section with foam flooring, a jungle gym, and swings. Additionally there's a giant circle path surrounding the perimeter that people walk around. Lots of dogs.

Loved coming here as a child! The playground is great for kids. Also, there is a big open grass area to kick balls, run around etc

Sort of tucked away between more well-known destinations, this is a wonderful playground for humans of all ages. Situated at the tippy-top of a hill is a large field surrounded by trees, expansive with an open feeling due to the altitude. It's a great place to bring both dogs and kids, plenty of space for both, and lots of places, smaller climbing trees, tucked away areas for imaginative play, not to mention an actual playground, for older small kids to go and play on their own, at a nice remove but still in view of their caretakers.

best place to sit and people-watch. the bench facing eastern pkwy is the most comfortable and relatively quiet

Great play structures for children, nice open space for everyone else. Near the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and main branch of the NY Public Library. Bathrooms are kept well but close early.
