Rabbi Hecht met my son over 30 years ago in Methodist Hospital. He has never seen him since and I don't belong to his shul, yet.... whenever he sees me he always asks about my son.

My experience there was pleasant. The congregational members are friendly and outgoing. The rabbi is approachable and always seeks to promote the best interest of the members, as it pertains to their highest good. Rabbi Hecht is well known in the Brooklyn Jewish community and a respectful gentleman. The interior is lovely with a certain antique European feel seamlessly blended in with a dose of architectural modernism. For anyone who lives or is visiting the area and wants to connect with their Jewish roots, this is a good starting point.

Congregation Bnai Jacob is one of the most welcoming synagogues I have ever participated in.nRabbi Hecht is a brilliant scholar and welcomes the community wholeheartedly. Rabbi Menashe Wolf is an extremely open and also brilliant scholar who has led many courses of interest in Judaism with tremendous knowledge and good humor.nAn authentic feeling of warmth and good will permeates this house of worship.
