New York Harbor School

This is a cool school where they learn to plant oysters that clean the NY Harbor, and scuba dive and row and drive and build boats, too, and study marine biology. It's in a National Park on an island. You take a ferry to go to school.

As a student here you get no other opportunity like this anywhere in the world, to learn trig one period go to Marine Systems Tech and learn to weld or boat mechanics the next all while being on an island. It's like our own personal paradise.

Most bad ass school ever because of the working on hands part and choose the real ways in life to work in the real world.

The opportunity that the New York Harbor School presents for students to go into specialized areas of marine, aquatic and environmental studies is phenomenal! As a result of my nephew attending NYHS, he will have several career options upon graduation as well as continuing his education through college.nnGreat school!

My son says teachers don't show interest in the student's learning. I myself had a difficult time a little over a yr ago trying to remove him from a school which he felt disinterested in learning
