My son, now in 8th grade, has had an amazing experience at BUGS.  He is doing exceptionally well, and is taking both the Algebra 1 and Living Environment Regents classes this year. He is happy and confident at school and has made so many friends. The students are very supportive of each other and you can see the special camaraderie they share, which I think has a lot to do with the advisory classes they have four times a week. My son loves his teachers, who are all very supportive and engaging. Most importantly, the administration and the faculty place a high priority on the social and emotional growth of their students. Parents are welcome in the school at any time and during “open classrooms” I have been very impressed with the teachers and the subjects.   Over all, BUGS is a friendly, tight-knit community with friendly students and talented teachers. I am truly happy that my son goes to BUGS and I couldn’t have asked for a better, more well-rounded experience for him.

As the parent of two students at BUGS we have had an excellent experience. My children both feel respected and engaged by their teachers. They are able to explore their own interests while being challenged academically. I recommend BUGS as a great middle school for any student interested in the sustainability mission.

I’m a 7th granger here now and I love I did get bullied a little in 6th grade but of course that’s going to happen in most school the teachers are nice and the school food is good also they make you understand the lesson and don’t yell I recommend this school.

This school needs a LOT of improving. Your kid(s) will suffer if you send them to this prison called school. The teachers have no authority over the kids. There is no discipline whatsoever, and the school lunch is not fresh at all.

this school has become very very horrible !! They have a teacher who likes to bring students down. She brings up things that my child has done in the past year but there's a thing called IMPROVEMENT. I've heard from my child's friend that this teacher talks behind a students back to other students! That is just outrageous you shouldn't be sharing any students progress with other students
