Great place to get lost for a day

Brighton Beach, use to be a great spot - with it's Luna park, hot Russian food restaurants, and outstanding boardwalk. Unfortunately, not any more. NY State closed everything, overhead trains are more louder then military air jets, speed photo cams are on each corner: 28 mph and you slapped with $50 ticket. I got 7 just in one week staying there. People are still nice, but it doesn't help much Too bad.

This place is interesting ))) it's not the first time I'm coming here. Definitely I suggest you to visit this neighborhood. A lot of Russian food stores, some restaurants with different kind of food. They have a book store (that was interesting) what caught my eye is that store has interesting souvenirs. You can recognize the culture by just looking at those souvenirs. In general if you are not far from this place, visit it.
