It's a little far but worth going there! The place is very well kept. Quite and if you are looking forward to spend quality time this place is for you. Make sure you don't liter in the ocean. Keep it clean and stay safe.

A peaceful, clean, and beautiful stretch of beach. A step above of all other NYC/LI beaches. Love going there in the winter as well for a quiet walk. Tons of parking!

there's not a lot here, no access to historical buildings, or anything like a fort there are some sports facilities and arts/theater buildings, but they are either taken over by private entities or on a permit basis. not really a place to go if you 7 year old wants to see a fort ;)

Imagine a hidden gem, last stop on the bus, through over grown grass, between unused empty buildings. After walking on a narrow path, it opens up into a beautiful beach with an truly secluded feeling. Not because the beach is empty, but because the relaxing feeling omitted by its inhabitants is like none of the other sand traps in the city.
