The Cyclone Roller Coaster Coney Island NY

A wooden roller coaster that opened in 1927. If you are in Coney Island it is a must visit even if it is to see it. 40 minutes by subway from the Manhattan area.nRight in front there is a promenade and beach. Perfect for children and for a walk watching the sea.

A little more intense that anticipated but SO MUCH FUN! Honestly it was worth the $10. I’ve never heard my dad laugh so hard! If you are going to Coney Island, you must do 2 things... Nathan’s hot dog, and the Cyclone. I feel like once you’ve done it 5 times it would get kinda old though and $10 is a lot for a 1.5 minute rollercoaster.

I rode it for my first and only time in May of 2001. My wife and I had our 10th anniversary in New York. To this day, it is the most fun I have ever had on a roller-coaster! One day I hope to ride again!
