Battenkill River Sports

This is the only place I prefer to go tubing. I try to get here early before the drunk college kids do. They usually drive you to the start point, or you drive to start point. You get off the river at their property. If you are parked at their property you are all set, otherwise if they have you drive to start point they will drive you back to your car. The river is usually low, rocky. Some sandy spots. Little rapids but not dangerous. Local property owners sometimes sit on their banks and wave to you as you go buy. Great for a hot day. The place provides strong tubes with bottoms and cup holders.

Top notch operation with riverside camping and varied paddling options .

Tubed with my dad and had such a great time here! Though new ownership can be tough for some people to adjust to, the improvements here have been anything but negative. We were helped immediately and were offered multiple options to get us out on the river as quick as possible. If you have your own tubes, you can even pay a really reasonable parking/shuttle fee and they'll bring you back to your car. They provided plastic bags for our keys or offered for us to leave them safely with them, rope for our tubes and gave us directions on best routes to the multiple starting options (you drive your car with the tubes to the river entrance, hop in the river, float back down to Battenkill River Sports and then they drive you back to your car). This is a new system but seems to be working out great! Great job by all staff here!

Loved every minute of my stay here! Suzanne and staff are so friendly, accommodating, and were very polite. The campsites are huge - there is so much space for activities. They are also pet-friendly which is awesome. The bathrooms are very clean. The campsite is very well kept. I cannot begin to describe how beautiful the stars were at night. The staff is also kind enough to make sure to welcome you into the site and provide you with garbage bags to help keep the site clean!nnMy favorite part is that the sites are on the river so enjoying the sun and bathing in the river was a fun way to spend the day. My friends and I also took advantage of their kayak and tubing service and it was such a refreshing trip down the river. They also have a shuttle that will take you to different drop-offs for different trip times.nnI would definitely recommend to all my friends and family and cannot wait to come back and stay here again!

If I had to say anything about Battenkill River Sports It would be... Wow! Found the campsite while on my last minute search for somewhere to camp labor day weekend. I had such a wonderful time with my friends labor day weekend I booked a second time and spent the past weekend camping again with my family at the campsite. We are all so impressed with Suzanne and the staff and how super accommodating and friendly they are! The campsites are private, big and beautiful! The bathroom facilities are also super clean! We spent the daylight hours kayaking and tubing on the river and the nighttime hours nestled by our campfires under the beautiful starry sky! We all had such a wonderful time and recommend anyone who is looking for a great weekend in the outdoors to check out Battenkill River Sports!
