Decided to stop and pick up some wine on a whim. Great decision! We just opened the Syrah and it is amazing! Can’t wait to schedule a tasting the next time we are in the finger lakes

One of our favorite wineries for dry red wine! We loved the Pinot Noir especially. The tasting room was small and intimate, would definitely recommend making reservations.

Visited winery today for the first time. We (Wife and I) are dry red wine drinkers and Shalestone seemed to be a logical place to try. The owner's daughter served our wine and explained each one. She was extremely knowledgeable about the wine, the process that led to a particular wine type and Finger Lakes Wines in general. Had a great time and came home with wine for enjoying later! All (seven) of our samples were nicely balanced and could accompany a variety of foods or enjoyed on their own. Highly recommend! Limited in size so make reservations.

Their ZWEIGELT is good if you can get a vintage at least 4 years old. That aging needed would make ZWEIGELT high-quality and great value per pour.

Drinking a 2015 Saperavi. I remember the winery and the great service - and I remember thinking no way is a FL red going to be good. Well, I’ve let it age a few years and wow. Russian River Valley, CA, watch this one sneaking up on you! A+
