The Salvation Army Thrift Store Fulton, NY

Nice selection. Well organized. Friendly cashier. When we went to check out another person came over and said that the stuffed animal that my child was lovingly clutching in her arms was four times the price that was listed on the sign. When my husband pointed this out she said that that one was “special” and therefore it was a different price. My daughter pulled it out of a bin of hundreds of others. Not sure what made it special other than the fact that the woman knew we weren’t doing to pry it out of her arms at that point because a four year old doesn’t understand these types of injustices.

This store always seems like the clothing is dirty or of very poor quality and damaged and they ask far more than good will does for clothing. it's all sorted neatly by color and size but you're looking for a needle in a haystack if you're looking for something in good condition.nIt was dreadfully hot in there, and it was cold outside for Sept. (mid sixties) so much so I had to leave because I was short of breath.nTheir ONLY redeeming qualitiy is that their housewares are usually VERY plentiful and the as seen on tv must have from four Christmas's ago is likely there and barely used.

Employees are always nice. Usually pretty clean. Doesn't smell funny which is a plus, most thrift stores have a weird smell to them..
