My daughter went there only for a year, well, even less because Covid happened and our school year there ended abruptly in March. Anyway, our teacher was amazing and my daughter absolutely loved her. The atmosphere in the school was caring and very warm.

As a parent of two young children who are respectively in second grade and kindergarten, I could not be more pleased with the way the school is run. The faculty and of course the parents put their heart and soul into making the school what it is today. As a family we could not be more happier and the students Are for sure group of Saints and Scholars.

Blessed Sacrament is more than just a great school - it's a community that supports not just our children but our families as they learn and grow together.

This is our second year at Blessed Sacrament.  We are parents of a first grader and soon to be preK student.  We came across the school two years ago when we decided to stay in the city past the preschool years.  Our oldest was about to enter Kindergarten and while we are zoned for a decent public school on the UWS, we had concerns about the large(r) class sizes and the individual attention our child would receive.nnBlessed Sacrament has exceeded our expectations.  The administration has been welcoming and responsive.  The former vice principal, who is now the current principal, knew our child and family within the first months of school.  As a new parent to the school, the families have been warm and inclusive.  The student body is diverse which was important to our city-based family.  There are a good mix of families with two working parents and we have never felt excluded from other parents if we couldn't make some activities.nnWe are so pleased with the school that we are moving our younger one from a private preschool next year.  We looked at several schools that wouldn't break the bank for two children and would give us what we wanted/needed.  We encourage you to do the same with Blessed Sacrament.

While it tries to be very community based it fails in other areas. In my opinion your only paying for the uniform. They do teach Catholic values which I did love. They have no air conditioning and in the summer months it gets hot, in my opinion not a comfortable learning environment for children with these uniforms on. While you do get your exercise in for walking those stairs, based on the grade you go to the higher floors. (no thanks) They have a huge turnover that they don't really know how to explain.I will admit they do have wonderful events for the kids when it comes to holiday months(thats why i gave it one more star). Another concern was the lack of diversity in the younger student body such as PK3,4 and Kindergarten. They need to make it accessible to all families from all backgrounds. This is the main issue on the Upper Westside. The lack of diversity needs to start with the younger groups. The kids do not go out because there is no playground so they are in the building all day except Fridays. My daughter was bored, she had learned all material prior in Nursery School. The specials are just regular classes you would get in a public school. At the end, we left with a big happy face being accepted into a wonderful public school on the upper westside and my daughter is thriving, learning and its a comfortable learning environment.
