Eugenio Maria De Hostos Charter School

This school WAS awesome when Mr.H was the principal, since his departure the school has gone down hill. I am currently looking to move my daughter to another school even though she has been there since she was 5yo & is now 11yo. This school is a step up from RCSD & way behind other charter schools. I have personally witnessed staff being verbal aggressive with kids. I just stared like reallyud83eudd28. Mr. H was always & available & returned calls. You call Miss Flores she is ALWAYS in a meeting.ud83dude44 I'm totally NOT a fan of this school anymore. GHETTO! Someone needs to come in & clean house( fire alot of people), start over. Miss Rachel(secretary)is AWESOME. Very poorly run under the current ADMINISTRATION team.

During orientation a year or two ago it was stated one week of spanish and the next week english. LIES! I thought this was a step up from Rochester Prep WRONG!!! Fingers cross for the Urban-Suburban program if they even sent the records as requested. My daughters will not fail on my watch. I'm running out of options. If I could I would just homeschool. This school district is failing and it's really sad.

This school is actually terrible.

Now I see why this school is so badly rated. I have children in that school and there are good teachers, but also mediocre teachers, who must take a course in Psychology, so that they know how to work with the students. They do not have the patience and the ability to deal with children, they yell at them, in front of the whole class and they do not help them, with a good explanation of the work. They accuse the parents of child abuse and they are the first to mistreat the students emotionally ... which is worse and punishable by law, because they are minors ...
