Villages RV Park At Turning Stone

Very nice RV park. Sites were well taken care of. Nice that they are fully paved. Rustic feel even though you are not far from the casino. Marked walking trials were great as well as the fishing pond. Would highly recommend and plan on going back for a longer stay next year

We stayed here over one night on our way up to Bar Harbour Maine from Columbus Ohio. It was uneventful but they close all offices at 5 pm with no one around until 8am next morning. We had Covid Negative tests and were not in Ohio, our home state since 9/1/2020. Since we knew the site we called to get a reservation for our stop over on return trip a week later. They had all our data and credit card on file and booked us in for the next evening. I reminded them we had Good Sam and AAA for the discount that we told them we had on way in and they never gave us since they were not open when we got there or before we left. While in the mountains of NY at 4:22pm they must have called our cell phone on the night we were going to check in but left a Voicemail as no connection on our end. I happen to look at phone and realized they left us a message when we got into a cell zone around 6pm. The VM they left stated “ we could not stay as Ohio just popped up As a quarantine state”(see transcription of VM in photos). We were stuck 60 min before arrival at finding a new place that we could stay with electrical and room to not unhook our airstream trailer. This was totally unacceptable at the last minute to only leave a vm with no option of an alternative solution or contact number for after they close at 5pm. We called next morning and they said” we will not charge you for the night”—- REALLY! This was such poor customer -DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE GUARANTEED A SPOT! They state that it was controlled by our drivers license not where we were or how long we were not in the quarantine state. I would highly recommend you stay at the place we found last minute: Arrowhead RV and Marina (check our review).

Our family camped at The Villages for the first time on father's day weekend. We are seasoned campers. We found The Villages to be an absolutely beautiful camping resort. The grounds were well maintained and the decorated landscaping was gorgeous. The facilities were the best we've seen. Showers and bathrooms clean and spacious. Our kids enjoyed the outdoor activities including biking, fishing and hiking. This resort is full hookup, and so relaxing. The nature trails were amazing.nDuring the reservation and check in portion, the service provided by Bernie was second to none. Very professional and accommodating. Also, it was very much appreciated to see the police making several rounds throughout the grounds. Having our kids safe is a necessity for a great time camping. Thank you!n***Second stay in September 2020 at site 611. Definitely one if our FAVORITE camping destinations.

We have camped as a group (3 families) together here for several years. I was always able to call and make the reservations for all 3 sites until last year. They want each individual family to make their own reservations even if I have all of the other families information and credit card number. The problem is their phone system and customer service is terrible. By the time all 3 families would get through we wouldn't be able to get 3 sites together. There is no point of camping as a group if we can't be next to each other. When I called the manager, Patty, and discussed the problem with her. She got very rude. She said she couldn't help me and lots of people have the same problem making reservations then she hung up the phone.nIf they know this is a big problem for all groups making reservations then why wouldn't they fix the problem. Obviously they dont want groups camping there. We will be taking our business else where.

Nice campground sites are slightly close together. Numerous activities available. Only complaint was upon arrival we had dinner plans scheduled and when we went to pull into our camp site that was assigned to us we were unable to because another RV was in the site. Had to call the office and our problem was resolved but we almost missed our reservation when we had to wait a half hour to figure out where we could park our camper.
