The Frank Lloyd Wright website does not have updated info. Plus, when it says open to the public, tours available, that reads that the public can come and a tour is optional. Tours are actually mandatory and the person told me it's because there is a cliff. We couldn't even walk the grounds, disappointing since we drove 45 minutes.

It's a beautifully restored Wright building, buildings, actually, in a gorgeous setting, demonstrating his principle of integrating architecture and setting. As a summer retreat in a then rural location, it is simple and light, compared to the Martin's city home, yet sophisticated in layout and detail. We've toured before, before and during the restoration: the docents know their stuff--architecture and Martin family history. It's a great complement to a tour of the Darwin Martin house or for its own sake.

Beautiful place, very good tour with a very personal touch due to the small tour size. Thanks to our docent, C.W.

Meticulously restored FLW designed summer home. Our docent was quite knowledgeable about the history of the property, the client and the restoration.

Beautiful place and so happy it's being restored! Tour was a little longer than I felt up to, and there is no place to sit down for folks who have a difficult time being on their feet for a while. Well worth the visit !
