Different type of store,not enough time to shop bought italian.cheese cake

We came to La Bella for the first time yesterday. We used to patronize the one on 13th ave in BK and assumed it was just as good. After spending $140, we came home and warmed up some deli items. The pasta was sour but stamped to sell by 8-19, Five days from now! We decided to toss it, not worth going back to get $7. I also bought three packs of skirt steak. I noticed one pack was more brown than the other two. Upon opening it, I nearly vomited. The steak was obviously old. Again, stamped to sell by 8-18, 4 days from now. Being the pack of meat was $17, we decided to go back. My husband goes into the store and tells the story to a manager who tells him that she can’t refund him the pasta since we didn’t return it. Okay, whatever. She tells him to go grab another pack of meat. He does so and the pack happens to be $21, instead of $17 and they ask him to pay the difference! She asked him to buy another pack stamped 8-18 since they were similarly priced but he said no. The meat was obviously repacked. This pack was dated 8-20. She called another manager over and after embarrassing him, they agreed he can just swap it out. There was a customer on the line who looked over and Said she had to return chicken last week that was dated ahead but stunk. They are probably slow and trying to resell expired food!! And then the customer service on top of that is horrendous. Save your time and go to family fruit where everything is FRESH and they always do the right thing!!

As usual, it was a good & enjoyable experience.. The older cashier, MaryAnn was pleasant & helpful.. A real sweetheart!!! Thank You.. Although, I was disappointed that they don't carry a larger selection of Jimmy Dean products.. My favorite breakfast selection is Dean's, Biscuit Sausage, Egg & Cheese.. 8 Count Red Box.. Other than not being able to get these, I enjoyed shopping here..nMy son Frank, APB knows the owner/management.. He does the security for LA Bella..

Love this store! They literally have everything including imported Italian products! Every employee is sweet and helpful, never had a bad experience!

We bought a case of water here three weeks ago & it had bugs in it. Not one or two multiple bugs. Then I bought a salad the following week, but the one that la Bella packs. I was eating it at work and there was a piece of cardboard in my salad. I’ve gotten this salad multiple times and haven’t had an issue so I decided to try again. Bought it Sunday, today is Monday and the lettuce is molded. Kind of at the point where we shop here weekly and spend hundreds monthly and I’m disgusted.
