I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place! From the smiling faces that greet you when you walk in to the delicious food that is prepared and made with pure love! This place is amazing! The pizza is to die for, the garlic knots are a piece of garlic heaven, the calamari is cooked to perfection and most importantly FRESH! All their dinners are are simply delicious. It’s a hard to find a restaurant/take out joint with good food now a days so I appreciate this place so much. Sal and his crew go above and beyond for their customers and it shows through their food & hospitality. I love their pizza and grilled chicken sandwich. I ordered lasagna and didn't have much meat inside, more of an cheese! Meatball sandwich is reasonable, but need to lay less on bread crum mixture and the cutlets.

The owner Sal who was born in Italy, has a heart of gold and welcomes everyone who comes to his pizzeria & restaurant with open arms, which makes this place even better to visit. He has been serving food to the community for over 35 years with a smile on his face. Calabrese Pizzeria & Restaurant has made it's mark in the Essex County, NJ area and you would be missing out if you didn't try their food, especially the pizza!

The salad pizzas Sal makes are out of this world. Just tell him what you want on your salad pizza ahead of time and he will put together something healthy and delicious! Thanks Sal. You are the best!
