Strong & Shapely Gym

I have trained in many gyms over the last 25 years and I can say that without a doubt, Strong and Shapely is the absolute best gym on the planet. Now under new ownership, Paul and the team have already made incredible improvements while still retaining the serious and yet welcoming atmosphere that this gym has always been known for. It doesn't matter what your current fitness level is, this gym is all inclusive and from the moment you walk through it's doors, you become family. In addition, the amount and diversity of equipment in this gym has set the standard in the fitness industry. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or a seasoned competitive powerlifter or bodybuilder, Strong and Shapely gym has everything you will ever need to achieve your absolute best results.

The new ownership is fantastic. Staff friendly and well trained. Facilitated the transition from retro to shapely for my girlfriend with the upmost professionalism. Really made her feel welcome. The energy and atmosphere is the same as it’s always been. Intense and and hardcore. However all the machines are fixed now, new machines are there, and there’s a cleaning staff ACTIVELY cleaning while you’re working out.nnNew ownership really stepped up and at the price it’s an unbeatable deal.

As a visitor for work to the Rutherford area from Montréal, I visited Strong and Shapely gym regularly, over a four month period. The atmosphere was welcoming and the equipment was amazing! The gym was very spacious with high ceilings and there were stations of weights in many different areas. I found the machines were very effective in giving me a great work out. I really liked the fact that I could pay monthly as this worked well given that my work assignment length was open-ended.nI want to thank the staff for their friendliness and professionalism, especially Michelle and to Paul who was always helping clients improve their workouts. I would definitely recommend this gym and hope that the great work they are doing can continue.

The new ownership is great. They're stepping up the cleaning, fixing machines that had been broken for years and taking care of all the little odds and ends that had been left unattended far too long. It's definitely still feeling like the hard-core gym it always was but now with a little TLC and lots of new members to bring it new life.
