I love this salon. I've been going to my stylist, Kim, for 9 years and she is excellent (and so much fun!). They've recently done a salon renovation and it is unbelievable. It has the look and feel of a downtown salon, the stylists are super talented, and I love how easy it is to drive and park there. I also love that they use eco friendly products. As someone who gets their hair colored regularly it's nice to know the products are more earth (and human!) friendly. Wouldn't change salons or stylists for anything!

Kia Ora is a lovely updated salon and at the same time anpeaceful and tranquil place. Joan Pettengill is a very talented stylist at the salon. I have been a client of Joan's for over 10 years and have known her for much longer. I admired her work and when my previous stylist retired, I became a client of Joan's. Joan works with your hair type and her cuts look great from day one to your next cut. I love how my cut works with my lifestyle and thank Joan for that. Don't hesitate to give Joan a call. You will be pleased with the results!

I’ve been having my hair cut and styled by Joan Pettengill at Kia Ora Salon for years now! Joan is such a talented stylist. I love how she will give suggestions and when it’s done my hair looks amazing. She also colors my hair when needed and it is so natural looking. Her newly renovated salon is very stylish, welcoming and comfortable. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I am not one to write reviews, but this salon far surpasses your expectations. Joan Pettengill is a fantastic stylist who has been with me for many years. I first met Joan at another salon and was so impressed with her creativity and flair for style. She offers tips and suggestions on how you can look your best and then does magic. When you find someone who understands your hair you stick with her! That is why I moved with her. She has an easy going, caring personality that makes you feel welcome the moment you step through her door. And speaking of the door, they recently redecorated the salon and it is modern, hip and soothing. A nice change from the prior look. Give her a try and I know you will agree she is the best in the business!

I went to Kia Ora last week for my appointment with Kim Fabre-Williams, as I have done every six weeks for over fifteen years. Kim does a fantastic job. We always talk about my current hair health, discuss color and cut, then Kim wisely advises me on what needs to be done to make my hair look its best. Her skills constantly amaze me, as I have very fine, thin graying hair. The coloring is so important to hide the gray and add highlights, but the cut is also of paramount importance. Kim always nails every aspect of my hair care, right down to the organic shampoo/conditioner/styling cream she finishes with. An added bonus is the recent transformation of the salon itself. It is an open, modern, clean, airy and lovely new space. The staff is professional, polite, and pricing is very fair. Personally, Kim is a fun, energetic woman and I love my hair appointments! I highly recommend Kim and Kia Ora Salon.
