The gentleman working in furniture was so helpful and went out of his way to help us. I think his name was Larry but unsure.nThe table and chairs we bought were very well priced and great quality!

I don't go to this store every week or every month. It was the first time since last holiday season. Being used to finding empty shelves on bigger retail stores my expectations were very low. I didnt grab a cart or a basket first. I just wanted to see if they had any glass mason canisters for sale as I couldn't find them anywhere else for the past few months.nnThe moment I entered I realized how mistaken I was. Shelves were the fullest I've seen since pandemic broke out. Wide variety of items in abundance. With the season, Halloween decorations greeted me. After them and a quick glance at the furniture came across wall decorations. To make the long story shorter, not only I found whatever I needed, but also found things that I wanted but were putting off. Employees were very friendly despite the holiday weekend crowds.

Since I haven't been to a CTS in years, I wanted to bring my family, especially my son who adores the season. His smile and excitement said it all and my wife found a few things she liked...mission accomplished. I even found a few things to decorate my office space. On one hand I'm disappointed because my memories don't seem to line up with present day, but because everyone was well pleased, I'm fine with that. We'll be back!

Remember the days when Christmas Tree Shops were crowded, no matter what day of the week it was? Those days are long gone. The pandemic has simply hastened this chain's deline that has been progressing during the last few years.nnPrices are rising at Christmas Tree. I always bought my jams there. Now I can buy the same products for less at Market Basket. I bought wrapping paper, bows, ribbons, and cards there. Now dollar stores have my business. I make my own seasonal decorations. Few bargains now at Christmas Tree shops for materials. The shelves are markedly bare which I assume is because cheap products from China are taking a hit. Good. I am glad to pay more for better quality goods, and quality goods are becoming much more difficult to find at Christmas Tree Shops.nnMy trip this week to the Portsmouth Christmas Tree Shop was the first in three or four months. I bought nothing, and I do not see myself bothering to browse there again.
