Great family experience for the outdoors types. The ice sculptures and ice creations are awesome. Adults and kids can enjoy the ice slides and tubing hill. Please remember to dress warm. There are a few areas that kids love, like the tunnels, slides, and hot cocoa. There is a snack and refreshments stand that has things such as cinnamon buns, water, and hot cocoa. Explore it all before you leave and have fun.
Beautiful place, would love to go in the day time and at night. Definitely going back. The slides were cute, snow tubing was fun and there's even a cute little walk. Definitely wear boots at least. A coat and snow pants wouldn't be a regret, even if it's not the cutest outfit.nA truly magical time! ud83dudc9d
So much fun! The walking trails are an excellent addition. It was like a magic winter land. The whole family had fun from those in their 60s down to the 3 year old. My niece is only a few months old but I think she enjoyed herself too! Definitely worth the 3 hour drive. Make sure you check out the sleigh ride
PLEASE BE AWARE! I have gone there with my family about three years ago and it has definitely upgraded since then, I went on January 28 2021, there are beautiful views and there are some great things to do including a rainbow slide and a walk through beautiful lights ( even though it was closed the day We went). However, my Family and I came from Boston MA, a 2hr + drive. Since we didn’t remember much from 3 years ago, we didn’t think it could be THAT cold, so we dressed cozy, but didn’t go to the extreme. Once we got there, it was so cold that we couldn’t even get passed the first 10 minutes of the ice castles. We stopped by the small store they have ( which didn’t have many selections) bought some extra gloves and an extra hat but it didn’t help because it wasn’t even the best quality. We were disappointed to have driven more than two hours to get there, not able to feel our feet , and not be understood at all! The employees were very careless. We asked to go back to the car to see if we had some warmer shoes and extra layers, and they said we would not be able to enter again if we went back to the car, so it was a WASTE OF MONEY, buying extra useless things at the store and not even being able to get a re- entry because we couldn’t feel our feet. I insisted saying we could even get frostbite and they only let two of us come back to the ice castles( keep in min it was 4 of us , me, my parents and my boyfriend) we didn’t even get to enjoy it once we came back since we had to leave my parents in the car. I felt so bad they couldn’t see the views or enjoy it. it was a HORRIBLE experience. The least Ice castles could do is remind us to dress VERY warm before our time slot, because let’s face it MANY people come from all over to see these things for the first time and GENUINELY DO NOT KNOW.
A lot of fun! Great place to spend an afternoon, the castles are beautiful. A couple slides and a small tubing spot make for a lot of fun. The small hike is beautiful with ice sculptures and thousands of tiny lights.nnWell placed firepits to warm your hands and a concession stand inside if you need food. Can't wait to check this out after sunset!
