Mt Washington Regional Airport

Small airport with a working gas pump!

Just visited this gem of an airport sort of north of I - 93 above Franconia Notch. It’s a beautiful setting in a valley surrounded by the White Mountains. Last weekend there was the annual fly-in and air show. It’s a small rural setting and the organizers did a great job . Many static displays and acrobatic flying combined with a helicopter candy drop for the kids. Really perfect day as we dodged heavy weather that affected most of the region.

Easily accessible

As the wife of a local pilot, I really appreciate this airport. We have been flying into Mount Washington Regional Airport for over ten years and loved the area so much, we moved here! It is a quick hop from Whitefield, NH to so many other municipal airports on the East Coast. The airport board is making plans to facilitate pilots using MWRA as a destination airport so keep a watch on the new website!

With its mountain views it is easily the most beautiful airport in New England.
