Just amazing. Stayed the night here and relaxed. No one there on a Tuesday night. Thank you for making this accessible to the public!!! You rock.nGreat camping spots and three fire pits. Outhouse and two port-a-potties if you need them. Make sure you bring bug spray. Lots of ticks!

This place is a gem. The biking is fun by any standard, and people are invited to run the trails here, too. The camping (and rec) are free, and miraculously, the place is well kept. This is thanks to a crew of dedicated local volunteers (shout out to Cycle Sport Bike Shop and the owner Jeff in North Platte). It's also the result of respectful users. We saw tiny bits of trash and very clean campsites. (We picked up those little bits because we were so grateful to have a BEAUTIFUL campsite that was both uncrowded and free to use.) I'm so grateful people exist to create spaces like this. Thank you!

Great place, vault toilets, some benches decent camp area, and access to water while you ride, maintained by locals, routes marked fairly clearly and map available at whitetail cycle sport in north platte or at the trail head spend an hour or days tearing up and down the trails and go home smiling.

This is simply the only public mountain biking location for a very long distance. That alone earns it some stars. Given the locations in the heartland of Nebraska this is a beautiful setting with unique topography. The trail builders have obviously put for significant effort to build a place that you probably won't be able to ride in 1 day. There is quite a range of different skill levels which I think is great. Here is the reality though... There is only so much elevation change in this part of the country. They did the best they could work what they have. If you compare this to Colorado you will be disappointed. They have some easy trails with nice views. They have some fast and fun tails; albeit quite short. Then they have some hard trails that are (at least for me) impossible, with steep ruts carving into the hillside at depths upto 6 feet deep and barely wide enough for my pedals. You might be able to ride that trail down but there are some trails that I think are impossible to ride up. But the part the I really don't like is that it is an active pasture with cows. Now, the cows don't bother me. They move out of the way for the most part and even the bulls don't seem to be too mean. It is not the cows themselves that bother me. It is what they leave behind. There are cow patties everywhere. If your are hiking or trail running it is not too big of a deal because you are going at a speed where you should be able to easily step around them. This is not as easy at times while biking. So far, everytime I come, I get my bike and myself sprayed with feces. It is a bit demoralizing to have manure everywhere: in my mouth, all over my back, and everywhere on my bike. It is so upsetting, each time I promise I'm not coming back.
