I went to this camp when I was a kid. It's awesome to see that it is still around! Down-to-earth, opportunity to worship, and fun. I made a lot of friends at this camp and appreciated the activities- especially Human Stratego, GaGa Ball, and disc golf. The food was always homemade (or it at least seemed like it!!) and delicious. The coolest thing is seeing how they have still kept camp affordable for kids who need it. Amazing.
This years was my fourth year going to this camp and I absolutely loved it. It kept my focus on God whole time. Every time I've been I've left with a completely new set of knowledge. I'm always excited to go back another year and, hopefully, have the opportunity to help as a staff member. Everyone gets along so well at this camp. It makes me so happy to stand back and watch new friendships form. I ten out of ten recommended this camp. It's an amazing chance to see where you stand with God and get closer to him. Goodbyes at the end are always hard but you can't have fun without that happening.
I don't know who wrote the other review but they sure don't know what they are talking about. I have helped with Camp Bethel for many years. The kids enjoy themselves, have excellent facilities, they learn and play rather than just be entertained. The food is home cooked, high quality and good. The personnel care about the children and do their best to provide a wonderful atmosphere of Christian education and fun.
Great staff and wonderful meals.
