Not many know this is the starting point for the Mississippi River. It is fun to see the sight and Peaceful area. Itasca park is quite awesome With lots of beautiful scenery and pretty huge trees. Make sure you bring a camera.nnThere are some pretty good displays about how the Mississippi starts out.nnThere are also some great tributes the Native American ancestry.nnWhat a blessed place!

Family and I loved wading the headwaters and running up and down the extensive trails. Spent the entire day, walking, playing, and grilling.

You call that a river? It only went up to my calf's. That's a trickle. What is this? A river for ants? It needs to be at least... Three times that size!
