Mont Du Lac Resort

Wow! What a hidden gem! Well not so hidden if you just look up! Great drinks and wonderful food. We split the steak sandwich and fries. It was plenty. I felt like a snow bunny - minus the skis!

As far as the tubing experience goes, I'll give it 5 stars. I didn't like how icey the walking area was (several people had their feet slip right out from underneath them) but on the last day of February it's pretty difficult to have perfect conditions and I'm not sure that staff could have done anything to prevent it. Also, at the bottom of the tubing runs if people didn't exit the area carefully (watching for incoming riders) there was the real possibility of them being hit by a larger person who would be carrying more momentum down the hill past the rubber mats. However the staff was diligent to keep the mats in place to slow tubers down to prevent this. And when someone was hit, the tuber had slowed enough so it wasn't really a problem aside from the chance of a person's legs being taken out from underneath them. It's not rocket science, you just need to watch out for tubers coming down... just like any other sliding hill.nnNegatives aside, the ride up on the magic carpet was fast and easy. Hint. Keep your legs spread wide as if you were surfing up the hill and you're much less likely to fall over when it comes to an abrupt atop. The ride down the hill was extremely fast, so much so that they had to put the aforementioned rubber mats down to slow riders at the end so they wouldn't launch into the parking lot (not really but that's kinda what it felt like). We went here last year around the same time and it wasn't nearly as fast. At that time there was no need for the rubber mats as you would gently come to a stop near the bottom.nnAnyone above the age of about 7-9 should enjoy this immensely! My 15 year old (and her friend) and my 9 year old (and his friend) had a great time!!

This by far is one of the Best Disc golf courses in America. It has every kind of hazard and CHALLENGE for every level of play. But best believe it is challenging and a day long activity. Love Mont Du Lac. I have even tent camping there as well.

Small resort. Small hills. Economically priced though makes for a small hit to the pocketbook. The staff are generous with their smiles (you can tell through the masks) and very helpful. It's a nice place to bring the family for a couple of hours or the entire day. Good quality rental gear that's set up correctly. There's tubing available too. See Liftopia.com for trail maps.
