I got a letter in the mail this month saying my monthly rent will be increasing from $65 to $80. They only gave a 30 day notice of this rate increase. To raise rates in the middle of a national pandemic is a cold hearted, cut throat business practice. Most people have been out of work and struggling, but ABC Storage doesnt care, they will increase your rent and take advantage of you. To do something like this during COVID is unethical if you ask me.
New owner(s) hiked the prices by as much as 50% this year.nThey now require your social security number during application (so they can send you to collections if/when you've missed payments). They require you to provide storage insurance (well the hell do you get that from?) and if you can't find an insurance provider they'll tack an extra $9 each month on your bill. Your personal information is then shared with a third party insurance provider (you still pay the extra $9 along with your bill on ABCs portal).nJust the facts.nNot happy.nWill be moving out.
Since new owners took over it has gone way down hill.. terrible customer service.
Great place, clean and the owner was easy to work with. She always managed to get a unit for us.
