Love this gym! Recently moved to Traverse City from Detroit where I was used to dozens of quality gym options. Here... not so much. Elite is the best gym in town, super clean, everything you need and nothing that you don't. Highly recommended. Not a lot of douchery either - great vibes all the time.

Pretty disappointed with my experience on Black Friday. They had a special for new members for either $20/month (with auto pay) or if paid in full a flat rate of $200 for the year. Midway through signing up I asked if it would be billed on the 1st of every month, the woman working said the $200 would come out on December 1st. I pointed to the sign saying it’s $20/month or $200. She responded with that when you pay the $200 it breaks down to $20/month. Which if you did the math correctly would be $240 for a year at that monthly price, or 10 months and not 12. Either way their ad and store signage said new members could choose either one of those options.nnEDIT: They did respond, and with a very respectful response, so I will give them 5 stars for that. Unfortunately, my roommate got me into their gym on their Black Friday deal, but Elite Fitness North is at the top of my list for consideration once that membership ends.nnThanks for the response.

The staff here are exemplary professionals. Always willing to help, teach, or work with customers. The ownership is dedicated to making the gym an accepting community atmosphere rather than just a building with some equipment in it. A wide range of machinery, free weights, batting cage, rowing, cardio room, and studio gives everyone a wide range of fitness activities.
