We had a great time at the park. I would recommend taking advantage of the short trail system to get different vantage points of the falls.nNext time we come we will bring a couple chairs, some lunch and perhaps a book to enjoy the full experience of the falls.
It's a beautiful trail. Only downside is that it's not very long. The round-trip is just barely over a mile. But for little children this is perfect.
The falls are mind blowing! As well as the accompanied whirlpools!!nThis is ome of the most amazing naturally accouring currents on the planet! A must see if you are a nature geek!!nWe are trully fortunate to have this wonder here in Downeast Maine!
Falls are ok but the trail is very nice. Walk all the way to the end, and you’ll have a private space to take in the view.nnNote: my understanding is that the falls only reverse when the tide is changing. So if you want to see that you’ll have to time your visit correctly.
This is a quiet place, as far as people go. The sea makes a lot of noise. That is, except for one magic moment at the turning of the tide. Then, all is silent and still. And slowly, the sound builds again, until the rushing waters fill the air with their tumult. Visit at precisely the time of low or high tide, or prepare to be patient. The trails enable a visitor to view the proceedings from all sides.
