With a modernized return to its roots as a general store, I was very pleased to see the Owls Head General Store open. I think the set up of of shelving displays (not really shelves) is not a good arrangement yet, but will evolve. It truly is a general store with a small but growing list of this and that. It also has a small but very thoughtful food menu with reasonable prices. Though I already had lunch I was ready for something sweet and they had an interesting selection of local fudge, so I got the pistachio. Not disappointed. It was not cheap, a bit over $4. But was not small, so my wife and I easily shared it. Rich and creamy, it was very filling. I look forward to stopping in more and more as they dial in their atmosphere and become what they’re going to become.

amazing coffee and if they have their cappuccino fudge, GET IT. Great little pit stop on a weekend getaway! I can't wait to return.

The cookies are absolutely delicious. Soft. Chewy. Fresh. Also the oatmeal raisin cookies are also very good... in addition to the phenomenal chocolate chip cookies

Love this place! The food is amazing and the new owner, Maya, is the sweetest young woman you'll ever meet! She is there from open till close and wants everyone to know if there's something they would like for her to carry, just let her know and she'll do her best to get whatever it may be you'd like to see on the shelves! Barb, Maya's mom, makes fudge weekly right here at the store. She always has something new to try and offers free taste test! Reasonably priced groceries, premade food (which is made daily by their baker, Deb), desserts, muffins, soups and salads. And that's just stuff you can get in the grab n go cooler! Fresh ground daily is how they start their signature burger, the seven napkin burger. Many great sandwiches and, last but not least, pizza! Stop down and check out this newly renovated General Store and see for yourself just how great it is!

Great to have the store back open again. Nice selection of sandwiches and to go field. And a nice compliment of handy items you'd expect from a general store plus more.
