Even though it was pretty hard to get too, it was still well worth the trip. Had a great time yesterday here with my dad and a friend of his, it was especially amazing learning about the history of this railway before it became what it is today. The staff were really nice to us and they did a great job of giving us the whole tour of the area and explained the whole history of the railway, on the way back, I asked and I got permission from engineer Sharon to ride in the cab of engine #4 all the way back to the depot. I will definitely come back here again in the near future when ever any special events happen, thank you guys especially for letting me ride in the cab as well!

Worth the stop. Kids had a blast and even got to try the hand car. Dad did too! Volunteers have done an amazing job resurrecting the railroad history of the area.

We did the Halloween ride. Perfect for our family. Inexpensive and a lot of fun.

Hard to get to but well worth the trip. I went for the Civil War reenactment. The reenactors were nice, and so were the volunteers. I hear they do a Wild West Weekend now at the railroad so I'm gonna try to see that. If you get the chance go see the Ghost Train around Halloween.nnOther than the railroad, Phillips is a quaint town with awesome swimming spots and fantastic antique shops. I recommend visiting The Old White Church Antique Shop ran by Todd and Becky. Its not far from the R.R.
