I live in Vermont, and always make It a point to stop into Dog Bar Jim on my way up and down the coast of Maine. It’s a tiny place with big flavors! There’s always something new on the menu that puts a smile on my face. Even to most experienced palette, your socks will be knocked off.. If you ask what that hint of flavor is...nIt’s a secret!
Ordered a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese and hash browns inside it, as well as a large iced coffee for $6. Let that bill total sink in, and the food was delicious. The sandwich literally melted in my mouth and the iced coffee was both bold and smooth. Highly recommend! Over the weekend ordered a breakfast sandwich at a deli on Maine street and it was over $6 and not nearly as good, and another one at a bakery on Union street which was over $10 for the sandwich and a blueberry muffin. Learned my lesson, I am sticking with Dog Bar Jim for the best food at the best price!
This place has amazing food and wonderful coffee. The staff is beyond friendly and a blast to talk with. Whenever we are in town we stop by. If there is a line don't turn away, they are quick and its worth the wait.
Amazing service and better yet, amazing drinks with an incredibly knowledgeable staff. A place where you can tell them what you are looking for and they will make it happen!
Ben serves the best lattes I have found and his pastries, muffins, hand pies, and sandwiches are creative and so very delicious! Ben also plays a stellar mix of music and offers great banter and discussion while working his magic behind the counter.
