The Putnam Inn

My family and I have been coming here on occasion for as long as I can remember. Good place for a quick bite on the buffet, regular menu dining, or for takeout. They have good fried chicken as well as pork tenderloin sandwiches. And the pulled pork, fish, popcorn shrimp, ham, chicken livers, and soups on the buffet are wonderful. The staff are all quite friendly and helpful. Very clean and overall a good cozy atmosphere. One of the biggest pluses for me is that they have it lit well enough that you can actually see what you're eating. I just wish they still had the steaks they used to have on their menu - they are sorely missed. But all in all, I would definitely recommend the place. If you're in the area and itching for some comfort food, they have it in spades!

I was very disappointed. My wife had heard so much good talk about this place. I had never had a bad experience here till now. What kind of breakfast buffet runs out of orange juice? Then I didn't even get a drink until I'd was on my second plate. It wasn't even busy in there. Almost $35 for two people seems kinda high but j haven't been in there in a long time. It used to be a once a week place for me. I'm gonna blame covid.

The buffet items that are popular were great. The less popular ones, like chicken livers, kind of sit and get dried out.nOther than that it is great. Nice buffet, blue cheese on the salad bar, and a good dessert bar with a no sugar added choice.nThe fried brussel sprouts are really good and a huge portion.

Putnam Inn use to be a good place to eat, but went in a few days ago and was seated. Waitress came over asked what we wanted to drink but did not offer a menu so we got up and went over to the buffet area got a plate and chose off the buffet the well the food was not that great so we did not eat our food The bill was served and it was $18 per person at the buffet. We went to check out the cashier said how we should dinner and I started to say well it wasn't very good but I didn't My daughter said that we were not offered a menu so we ate the buffet but it wasn't that good. We were not offered I'm sorry can I give you a discount can I get a manager or anything. It was the last time we ate at the Putnam inn restaurant and have told other people of our experience and we have had a few people tell us the same thing they would not eat there again.

Buffet was decent. Couple of dishes were under the heat lamp for too long. Meat loaf and brisket were good. Some great cobbler on the dessert table.
