Definitely a cool place to go and visit! It's an old quarry, so lots of rocks/pits/etc. The pathway is all gravel, so it's an easy walk & great way to spend a hour or two.
Great trails with good variation. There was a quarry there that has a great trail around the upper rim, a trail through the middle, one along the creek, and several through the woods. The quarry bottom has trees and shrubs growing in it and there is water...it is cool looking both walking through and from above. There is also an observation spot near the parking lot where we saw planets align recently.
Great place to go to get out of town and enjoy nature. Trails are nicely laid out and maps labeled with different levels of difficulty. Great place to bird watch or other wildlife or have picnic. Wooded are and open space for kite flying or to throw a frisbee. Covered deck with seating. Kids love this place, pet friendly.
Very beautiful park. It has a lot of different trails, some around the quarry and some that follow the river and into the forest. Great for families and pet friendly.
Very interesting place to go in Indiana! Somewhat akin to the Grand Canyon...?
