Great small regional airport for private aircraft and used by some mail cargo. Tower is vacant, must use local frequency and trust other aircraft are listening. No scheduled commercial service. There is a glider club that offers lessons and flights. I took a private tour with Bilco Aviation. He has a single engine beachcraft that seats six. Bill is great, nice guy and will take his time and point out lots of things on the ground you might never have known about.
It was just amazing being in a hot air balloon for the 1st time. Such a wonderful memory. I can check this off my bucket list ud83dudc4d
Midwest Aero and the Vermillion County Airport are jewels of the national airspace system. I have been flying in to this airport for 15 years in everything from 172s to 421s. The airport is very easy to operate into and out of. The FBO waiting area is very spacious with a panoramic view of the flight line and runways. Balloon Festival is not to be missed!
Balloon festival was great me and my whole family loved it. I wish they have really balloon ride.
