Not really a family campground vibe. If you like drinking there is fun to be had with other people. The place doesn't really look nice and management offers not much value. If you're just visiting the starved rock area I'd suggest another campground if you've brought your family. If you can even get a spot out there that is. Its rather full most times of the year.
Quiet, nothing fancy but everyone was nice. we stayed 6 nights, no problems. Wifi was bad 1st day but they got it taken care of quickly. I would stay again when visiting Illinois. Close to restaurants, gas etc. Laundry on site and also a kids playground and a pool. Can't beat it for the price.
If you need anything they always answer and are quick to assist.
It is a great place to take your family. They have a pool, a playground for the kids, they have gaming, and a small general store. The owner and family are supper nice. You will have a great time there.
Excellent place. To camp, great rates, family friendly and owners are very helpfull.
