Beautiful place for a walk/hike by yourself or with someone. Difficulty is super easy and well paved path. Also a great spot for kids. I took my 3 year old nephew and he loved seeing the barn and the ducks by the water!

My absolute favorite forest preserve to go hiking. There are so many options for paths: wooded, prairie, along the creek, paved, gravel, dirt. I’ve been going here for years and I still feel like I haven’t explored all the paths. So beautiful and well maintained.

The little saplings program we attended today was just awesome for my 4year old! He absolutely had a blast and had a rich educational experience. The staff in the nature center clearly love their jobs!.We cannot wait to come back for octobers program!

LeRoy Oaks is a beautiful forest preserve with plenty of trees, wildflowers, tall grass, and other nice nature sights. It’s pretty hilly for running and biking. It only takes about 10 minutes to run through the forest preserve, but then you can cross Dean Street and hop on the Great Western Trail. LeRoy Oaks is a great spot for a picnic or for a leisurely stroll.

Great trails for exploring. From the parking lot go to tree line then go left to get good access to water. Scenic 10 minute walk to water.
