We found this place last minute after realizing that Kankakee State Park was closed for camping. I'm so happy we did. This place was nice, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. The owner, Kris, was an absolute joy. We have camped many places and never have we seen cleaner bathrooms! There's riverfront access with fishing, boating, and beach access. We had a great time and will definitely go there again! Great job Lake Alexander!
Planned to spend a night or two (while having an RV part fixed) ended up staying 6 days! We LOVED it here! The lots are roomy and shaded! Fantastic for kids, pets, hikes, fishing, frisbee...Very clean restrooms with hot showers. Tom is a very welcoming and gracious host.

We had a wonderful weekend at this campground. Chris is a very sweet lady that loves this property and takes wonderful care of it. She also told us where we can get fresh veggies, fruit and fresh corn. It was so good. My kids were able to swim in the river. It was very quiet and peaceful place to stay. We will definitely be coming back.
